Senior School

The students at Dulwich College Seoul continue to impress. Recognising the International Day of Peace in a swath of purple on the school field, it was another marker solidifying our next chapter; a unified and connected College celebrating as a family. There is a sense of excitement as Year 7, 9 and 11 prepare for the first residential adventure for a while. I have dusted off my sleeping bag and am ready to join the Year 7s in an action packed week of rafting, hiking, camping, sustainability and skills, as well as forming new bonds. Something I know will be emulated in the other trips and the year groups remaining in school to engage in work experience, Global Citizenship and a multitude of other enriching experiences.

It is also the time of year when the outgoing student leaders are reflecting on their successes, preparing to leave their legacy while they look forward to the next step in their journey; university final lists are being negotiated and personal statements honed. The hallways are flooded with Year 12 campaign posters vying for the coveted Head Student, House Captain and Student Council positions and the congratulatory echoes of the newly elected Student Council. During the inaugural lunch and the impressive Year 12 interviews today these change makers shared their ideas for continuing to make our school even better. Demonstrating a clarity and thoughtfulness beyond their years.

I am looking forward to announcing the Year 12 positions and sharing the student leaders’ ideas over the coming weeks. Parents and Guardians enjoy your child-free (ish) week, keep checking the dcsl.adventure Instagram posts and we will see you next Friday!

Welcoming our new Student Council

At Dulwich College Seoul we want our students to become change makers who make a positive difference in the world; the student council epitomises this premise.

Voted by the student and staff body this group of dynamic young people represent and act as the voice for their peers. As well as developing their individual leadership skills they focus on problem solving, communication, negotiation and creative thinking, helping to share student ideas, interests and concerns with the community.

Please join us in welcoming and congratulating the 2022-2023 Student Council. Today was the inaugural lunch, where Mr Jonsson, Ms Pugh and I had the pleasure of meeting and inducting our new leaders. We know they are going to do great things and continue to help our school develop.
