Dear Parents and Guardians,
This Tuesday, I was honoured to be among approximately 20 local community representatives officially invited to participate in the opening ceremony of the new Banpo 2-dong Community Centre. Previously situated just across the street from our campus, the centre has relocated to a splendid new building around the corner, near the new One Bailey apartments. The ceremony was a grand affair, complete with a red carpet and participants wearing white gloves, as we, alongside a small crowd of onlookers, celebrated the inauguration of the new facility. It was a privilege to be involved in such a significant event for our local community.

The return of our Year 3 students marked the end of this academic year’s adventure trips, and I want to express my deep gratitude to Mark Lovett, our Head of Outdoor Education, for his exceptional leadership and dedication. This year’s program spanned 53 days and took students to 11 different locations across three countries, all facilitated by four distinguished outdoor education providers. The successful execution of these trips reflects the collective effort of our entire school community and the extraordinary commitment of our teachers and staff who accompanied the students. Mark’s careful planning and execution have provided our students with invaluable experiences and set a robust foundation for next year’s adventures. Thank you, Mark, and to everyone who played a role in making these educational adventures possible. We eagerly anticipate the exciting developments the 2024 – 2025 program will bring.
