Dear Parent/Guardian,
We are excited to be hosting the 2025 WISE Conference on our campus beginning today, welcoming 170 delegates and over 30 workshop presenters from around the world to celebrate women’s empowerment, leadership, and well-being in international schools. I am so proud and grateful to our exceptional leaders, Ms Smith in Primary School and Ms Pugh in Senior School who have worked tirelessly over the past year for bringing this wonderful event to our school.

This is no ordinary conference, and both of our leaders took great care to ensure we got a broad set of voices heard, offered unique experiences, upskilled to help participants with professional development growth – all the while being mindful of wellbeing and prioritising connections to support women in international schools. Over the course of three days, attendees will hear from ambassadors, educational experts, and cross-cultural leaders through keynotes, workshops, and networking sessions designed to inspire collaboration and foster meaningful discussions on empowering women in global education.
We look forward to sharing the outcomes of this significant gathering with our wider community and thank everyone who contributed to making the 2025 WISE Conference a reality. I, for one, am very much looking forward to taking a full plunge into the wealth of speakers, knowledge and expertise that awaits – not to mention meeting all the amazing delegates and never forget, having fun! Huge thanks to Ms Smith and Pugh for their leadership on spearheading this endeavour.

As a reminder, we are currently conducting the CIS Community Survey (part of our reaccreditation process) and the annual Dulwich Experience Parent Survey is pending in March. The CIS Community Survey will help us identify the school’s strengths and areas for growth, and we kindly ask that you complete one survey per enrolled child by 3 March. You can choose your preferred language for the survey at the top right of the screen, and it should take around 10 minutes to complete. The annual Dulwich Experience Parent Survey, which offers an opportunity for written feedback on your experience as a parent, will open in early March. We will share more details and a link soon. If you have any questions or need assistance with the CIS survey, please contact marketing@dulwich-seoul.kr. Thank you for your support in helping us gather this vital feedback.

I would also like to remind you about the Parent Forum sessions taking place next week, where I will share updates on our Strategic Plan, the CIS Preliminary Report and Survey, our MyDulwich portal, and our 3-Year Masterplan. For those attending in person, we will meet on Tuesday, and an online session will be held on Thursday for those who prefer a virtual option. Please refer to the Whole School section for further details.
Meanwhile, I hope everyone enjoys the upcoming weekend—there is some welcome relief from the cold on the horizon, with temperatures expected to edge into double digits later next week. Stay warm, and I look forward to seeing many of you at the forums.
Best regards,
Alison Derbyshire
