From our Head of College

 Dear Parent/Guardian,

The EiM Student Leadership Conference has been in full swing on our campus since Wednesday afternoon. Student leaders from over ten schools worldwide—including from Switzerland, London, and New Zealand—have immersed themselves in a variety of activities designed to strengthen their leadership skills and problem-solving abilities. It is truly inspiring to see them applying their new insights to address challenges in their own schools, and we look forward to witnessing the positive impact of their learning in the months ahead.

We also welcomed a group of Dulwich alumni to campus for the Worldwise Alumni Advisory Board Annual Conference. Over the course of several days, they worked intensively on the 2025 Worldwide Alumni Network Strategy, culminating this afternoon in an insightful presentation of their vision for our expanding community of Alleynians. I would like to extend my deep thanks for their dedication, expertise, and forward-thinking approach, which will undoubtedly benefit our global network in the years to come.

We also enjoyed a wonderful turnout at our New Parents Coffee Morning today, where it was a pleasure to meet and personally welcome the newest members of our community. Their enthusiasm and eagerness to get involved were evident, and I look forward to seeing them around school as the Term 2 progresses.

Later tonight, we will be welcoming back our Year 8 students from their adventurous trip to Taiwan. I look forward to hearing all about the incredible experiences they had. I would like to thank Ms Jinhua for leading this trip so effectively and Mr Mark Lovett, our Head of Outdoor Education, for his ongoing support in organising our overseas trips and making them both safe and rewarding for everyone involved.

This week, I had the pleasure of welcoming Jiji from the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Korea to our campus. By exploring avenues for collaboration, we look forward to further enriching our Spanish-speaking community and enhancing the diverse cultural environment at Dulwich College Seoul.

I am pleased to share that we will soon launch MyDulwich, our new parent portal that will replace the current iSAMS Parent Portal. Designed with your feedback in mind, MyDulwich provides a more streamlined, personalised experience—offering single sign-on access to all our main platforms, a user-friendly mobile interface, and tailored updates specific to your child’s year group and activities. This is part of our continued commitment to improving communication and ensuring every parent feels informed and engaged in their child’s learning journey. If you have any questions, please refer to the email we sent today or check the Whole School section of this update for further details. Thank you for your ongoing support as we introduce this exciting new tool. Stay tuned for more information soon.

We warmly invite you to join us for a special Lunar New Year assembly next Friday at 2pm in the College Gymnasium. Our Mandarin Department has been tirelessly preparing performances with our students, and it promises to be a spectacular and enjoyable celebration. We look forward to welcoming you for this wonderful event. Please see the detailed event programme in the Senior School or Primary School sections.

I hope you have a restful weekend.

Kind regards,
Alison Derbyshire
Head of College
