Dear Parents and Guardians,
This has been a week of awe and wonder. On Friday I was honoured to attend the ECCK (European Chamber of Commerce in Korea) 10th anniversary celebration. Not only was it held in the stunning Four Seasons hotel and attended by interesting people all connected by their views on the need for a more sustainable future. The highlight of my evening was the opportunity to listen to and meet Ban Ki-Moon. An engaging and humbling experience, listening to such a seasoned politician, diplomat and advocate left me with some real food for thought.
Also this week I had the pleasure to connect with old and new faces at the Year 7-10 Senior School Parent Social and IGCSE Award Ceremony. Watching the Year 12 and Year 11 students receive their IGCSE certificates, surrounded by family, friends and the Year 10 students, reminded me of the importance of celebrating such milestones and having a chance to reflect and consider lessons learned.
The IGCSE Award Ceremony also offered an opportunity to showcase the new Head Student blazers, a Dulwich tradition that has been reinvigorated as a legacy from our outgoing Head Students last year. We are looking forward to our Student Leadership Team wearing their blazers with pride at the February Dulwich School Student Leadership Conference in Singapore.
Enjoy your weekend.
Ms Suzy Pugh

Parent Workshops
Ms Rebecca Gardner unpacked the enigma that is the IB, or International Baccalaureate program. She outlined why we choose the IB as our preferred curriculum for our Year 12 and 13 students and how this is supported by feedback from universities and academic studies. Ms Gardner then outlined the program at Dulwich College Seoul, the subjects we offer, how students are taught and how they are assessed.
Ms Gardner will be repeating this session at the Year 11 Options Evening in January. In the meantime please view the presentation materials uploaded to the Parent Portal.
All was skillfully translated by our year 12 student, Cherry. Thank you to all those who attended. We look forward to seeing you at the next workshop specifically for IB Parents Dealing with University Feedback 1 December 8.30am – 9.15am Level 4 Classroom.

Senior School Basketball
Girls Game: Dulwich 18 vs CDS 26
The girls played a great game and finished by winning the second half. Seren T, Lynn H, Rianne K and Yeonwoo K scored on some great shots and the girls moved the ball well in the second half. They have great potential and will continue to improve over the course of the season.
Boys Game: Dulwich 53 vs CDS 38
The boys came out with a fast-paced offense and a fantastic defensive effort. They really separated in the second half with a better inside game and some outstanding three point shooting from Kris L and Aaron Y. Ian K, Aiden G and Jack P had great rebounding and defensive games and Eric K and Leo G led the transition offense.
Both teams are looking forward to our games at KKFS on Wednesday 18 November. GO LEOPARDS!
